i agree that talking head videos are pretty unengaging. i like the idea of a video introduction, though. A “hi, i’m Liz, these are the things i’m interested in.. bla”colby has these: http://www.insidecolby.com/video/index.phpthey're videocasts. take a look. see what inspiration you can gather.
I think the autofocus was going all wacky because of the lighting. You had what looks like direct light behind you so it was having trouble focusing.Video blogs like this are still entertaining if they like being in front of a camera. And it can be faster… Took you two minutes to record and maybe two more to post this to your blog. A post in five minutes isn’t bad especially for people who don’t have really strong written skills like maybe… first year student bloggers?
