Old Greg part II
Category: Portland OR
We were watching this stupid YouTube clip in Portland, OR. It’s one of those things that isn’t really funny when you first watching it, but then you find yourself repeating the lines over and over again.
Today we’d tried to get out to Portland and see some sights. Despite a late start, we were able to hit the World Forestry Center (which was a total disappointment) and the Rose Garden (although the roses weren’t in bloom) and the Pearl neighborhood (which was cool).
We had lunch/dinner at Jake’s Famous Crawfish. It was a great pub with excellent happy hour deals that started at 3pm.
Had a great day yesterday. The weather has been unseasonably warm this week with temps in the 80’s – 90’s.
Jake’s graduation was this morning. We went to the Phi Beta Kappa brunch. Typical of Ferrante’s, we were a late and they had to set up a table for us. It was a decent spread complete with a couple of bottles of Champaign at each table. We had fun eating and drinking Mimosas.
Not a ton of photos from the day. We let Judith take most as we were pretty camera active yesterday. There are a few though.
Here’s a Flickr link to with our photos from our day trip to Silver Falls State Park. It was an incredible day in which we saw 10 waterfalls. It was pretty warm (in the 80’s) and we jumped in a couple of times during the 4 mile hike.
Today is Jake’s graduation. He was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa and there’s an induction breakfast before the graduation ceremony. We’re not sure yet what the rest of the day will look like.
